Himalayan VOICES High Himalaya FORUM Himalayan Heritage
 > Organisation, Team & Partners
Himalayan Voices is an initiative launched by PRAGYA, a not-for-profit organization working since 1995 for the sustainable development of the Himalayan region spanning India and Nepal. The initiative was designed as a response to the need for greater inclusion of the Himalayan communities and the design and adoption of appropriate policies and practices for sustainable development of the Himalayan region.
Valuable support is extended by several organisations working for the same cause through contributions for inclusion in the portal, financial assistance, design help and advice. Mountain communities and Community based Organisations also provide considerable inputs as well as material for inclusion in the website.
The portal is managed by the Research & Advocacy team of Pragya. We combine in the team a variety of competencies- development planning, natural resource management, heritage preservation, anthropological research, and a bit of literary and IT skills. We would also like to thank Sagacious Softwares that has worked with us in designing and programming the site.
Applications and enquiries should be addressed to research@pragya.org
